LexiBrew privacy policy
LexiBrew is a word puzzle game published by Jogiba Gaming for Android (Google Play) and iPhone (the App Store). This policy explains what the game stores, what leaves your phone, and who else can see it. Where the two apps differ, the difference is spelled out.
No account, nothing in the cloud
LexiBrew has no sign-in, no account and no cloud save. Your progress (levels, daily results, streak and stats) and your settings are saved only in the game’s storage on your phone. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data erases them, unless your phone’s own backup (Android backup or an iPhone backup) restores them. Because there is no account, we hold nothing about you on a server, and there is nothing to delete there.
Analytics
The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how it is played: small game events such as a level or daily puzzle started and finished, hints used, the keystone found, a result shared, an ad shown, the steps of a purchase, and reminders turned on, off or opened. Firebase adds the device model, operating system, app version, approximate country and a random identifier for this installation of the game. The events never contain your name or anything you type. Analytics is set up not to use the advertising ID or ad storage, on Android or on iPhone, and nothing is sent from development builds.
Crash reports
When the game crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report: what went wrong in the code, the device model, operating system and app version, and a random installation identifier. We use it only to fix bugs.
Ads
Free players see ads from Google AdMob, never in the daily puzzle and never during a puzzle:
- an occasional full-screen ad between levels: none in your first two days or before level 20, then at most one every three levels and four minutes apart;
- a short video when you tap Hint with no free hint left. The button shows a video mark and an AD badge first, and the hint is given when the video ends.
The Remove ads purchase turns off every ad.
To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob processes:
- the device’s advertising ID, on Android;
- on iPhone, the advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asks. Otherwise it is never read;
- your IP address, and the approximate location worked out from it;
- device and app information: the model, operating system and app version;
- your interactions with ads, such as views and taps.
Where the law asks for it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), Google’s consent message asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and Settings, Privacy choices changes it later. On Android you can reset or delete the advertising ID in your device settings; on iPhone you can change your tracking answer at any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
Ads are limited by Google’s content ratings: to G (general audiences) on iPhone and to PG (parental guidance) on Android. How Google uses this data is explained in Google’s privacy policy and on how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Settings the game downloads
The game downloads two small files from our Firebase Hosting site: a settings file that switches ads on or off, and a version file that tells the game when an update is available. Nothing about you is sent with these requests beyond what any web request carries, such as your IP address.
Daily reminders
Reminders are off until you turn them on (on the Home screen after your first solved daily puzzle, or in Settings), and your phone asks for your permission first. You get at most two a day, around 9:30 and 20:30 your time, and the evening one only while that day’s puzzle is unsolved. They are written and scheduled on your phone: no reminder, schedule or device token is sent to us or to anyone else. Turn them off at any time in Settings or in your phone’s notification settings. On Android the game may start briefly when your phone restarts, only to put planned reminders back.
Sharing
The share button opens your phone’s share sheet with a short text the game writes, which never shows the answers. You choose where it goes; the game sends nothing itself.
Purchases
Remove ads is a one-time purchase sold by Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone. It removes every ad and makes hints free. The store handles payment; we only learn that the purchase was made, never your payment details. Google Analytics for Firebase records that a purchase was made (the product, price and currency). Restore it in Settings.
Who else sees your data
Google, in two roles: as Firebase, which runs analytics, crash reports and the settings files for us as a service provider, and as AdMob, the ad network that shows the ads. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Analytics and crash data are kept by Google for a limited time under Firebase’s retention settings and then deleted. Data AdMob processes for ads is kept under Google’s own policies. Everything else stays on your phone until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
Children
LexiBrew is meant for teens and adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and important changes are announced in the game.
