LogicBrew privacy policy
LogicBrew is a puzzle game published by Jogiba Gaming for Android (Google Play) and iPhone (the App Store). This policy explains what the game stores, what leaves your device, and who else can see it. Where the two apps differ, the difference is spelled out.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress (daily puzzle results and times, your streak, your ladder level, any unfinished puzzle) and your settings are saved in the game’s storage on your device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data erases them, unless your device’s own backup (Android backup or an iPhone backup) restores them.
What is backed up to the cloud
- If you sign in (with Google, or on iPhone with Apple), your progress is backed up to Google Firebase under that account, so it comes back after a reinstall or on another device. We then hold the email address and name your sign-in provider shares with us. If you never sign in, nothing about your progress leaves your device.
- Sign in with Apple (iPhone): Apple shares your name only if you allow it, and an email address, which is a private relay address ending in
privaterelay.appleid.comif you choose Hide My Email. - The backup contains game data only: daily results, times, streak and ladder progress. It never contains contacts, photos, location or device identifiers.
Analytics
The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how it is played: for example which puzzles are started and solved, how many hints are used, how far players climb each ladder, whether tutorials are finished and reminders turned on, and when the Ladder Pass screen or an ad is shown, along with the device model, operating system, app version and approximate country, and a random identifier for this installation of the game. It is used only to improve the game. Analytics is set up not to use the advertising ID, on Android or on iPhone.
Ads
Free players see ads from Google AdMob: an occasional full-screen ad between puzzles, never during one; an optional video you can choose to watch to play one locked ladder level; and, after your first solved puzzle, a short video when you tap Hint (the button shows a video mark and an AD badge, and the hint is given when the video ends). The Ladder Pass removes all ads, hint videos included.
To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob processes:
- the device’s advertising ID, on Android;
- on iPhone, the advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asks. Otherwise it is never read;
- your IP address, and the approximate location worked out from it;
- device and app information: the model, operating system and app version;
- your interactions with ads, such as views and taps.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent message asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and Settings, Privacy choices changes it later. On Android you can reset or delete the advertising ID in your device settings; on iPhone you can change your tracking answer at any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
Ads are limited by Google’s content ratings: to G (general audiences) on iPhone and to PG (parental guidance) on Android. How Google uses this data is explained in Google’s privacy policy and on how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Daily reminders
LogicBrew can remind you when today’s puzzles are waiting. Reminders are off until you turn them on (on the Today screen after your first solved puzzle, or in Settings, Daily reminders), and your phone asks for your permission first. You get at most three a day, and none once you have solved all three puzzles. They are written and scheduled on your phone: no reminder, schedule or device token is sent to us or to anyone else. Turn them off at any time in Settings, Daily reminders, or in your phone’s notification settings. On Android the game may start briefly when your phone restarts, only to put planned reminders back.
Crash reports
When the game crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report: what went wrong in the code, the device model, operating system and app version, and a random installation identifier. We use it only to fix bugs.
Purchases
The Ladder Pass is a monthly subscription sold by Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone. It unlocks every ladder level and removes all ads, hint videos included. The store handles payment; we only learn whether your subscription is active, never your payment details. Google Analytics for Firebase automatically records that a purchase or subscription was made (the product, price and currency), never payment details. You can cancel the subscription at any time in your Google Play or App Store account settings.
Who else sees your data
Google, in two roles: as Firebase, which runs the cloud backup, analytics and crash reports for us as a service provider, and as AdMob, the ad network that shows the ads. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Your cloud backup is kept until you delete your account. Analytics and crash data are kept by Google for a limited time under Firebase’s retention settings and then deleted. Data AdMob processes for ads is kept under Google’s own policies.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and its cloud backup at any time inside the game (Settings, Cloud save, Delete account), or by writing to support@jogiba.com. See Delete your account for exactly what is deleted.
Children
LogicBrew is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has signed in, write to support@jogiba.com and we will delete the account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and important changes are announced in the game.
